Julia Mammoser (vocals) studied classical voice for over a decade, jazz for a minute, and married her best friend, now husband, Charlie Mammoser in 2011. Through planning their wedding she was inspired to start a musical collaboration with her fellow Chicago musicians, Gussied. Despite cutting her teeth in a wedding band at age 15, Julia has enjoyed a solo career as a Chicago based singer-songwriter, and has performed through out the Chicagoland area at Evanston's Space, Schuba's, City Winery, The Hideout, Old Town School of Folk Music and Lollapalooza. She has supported international acts Asaf Avidan, The White Buffalo, Joe Pug, Grammy nominated artist John Fullbright and most recently, Wayne Newton.

Veteran Multi-Instrumentalist Randy Mollner (vocals, fiddle, guitar, banjo, mandolin) is comfortable playing Irish fiddle, old time banjo, classical viola, bluegrass mandolin and rock guitar.  After cutting his teeth in Nebraska's vibrant music scene, Randy has called Chicago home for the last decade, playing with the critically acclaimed group Head of Femur, touring as an opener for Wilco, and sharing bills on the road with acts like Architecture in Helsinki, Dr. Dog, and Hank Williams III.

In addition to his musical accomplishments, Randy also has extensive experience offstage in the music and event industry. As a production foreman, he has been responsible for the technical and aesthetic side of public and private performances by such top artists as Aretha Franklin, The Doobie Brothers, Cyndi Lauper, Marvin Hamlisch, and James Taylor.

When Randy isn't bringing the house down with Gussied, he can be heard playing electric guitar and viola for Chicago indie pop band Panoramic & True as well as backing up Gussied band mate Julia Klee with her original music.  Additionally, Randy can also be found playing with a number of traditional Irish, Bluegrass, and Cajun groups in and around the city.

A member of indie bands such as Moxie Motive, free space, and Cracklin Moth, Dan Moulder (vocals, keys, drums) has been involved in the Chicago music scene for over a decade.  Currently Dan can be found working with a diverse array of artists, including co-producing the upcoming Tom Schraeder & His Ego LP, “Gush,” as well as the track “You Never Know” on the hip-hop duo NATUREAL’s “Everything” mixtape.

Dan’s recent live and studio credits include sessions with RAZORHOUSE, The Ex-Senators, and Jennifer Hall, and he has been a long-term member of His Ego, Deanna Devore, and the Grateful Dead cover band CAUTION.

Liz Pesnel (bass) was raised in a musical family in Albany, NY.  She grew up playing upright bass, and at a young age, had the opportunity to study with members of the Philadelphia Orchestra, and perform at New York City's famed Carnegie Hall.  She went on to receive a Bachelor of Music from Syracuse University, majoring in Music Business and Music History, with a minor in Upright Bass and Harp Performance. 

Contributing a wealth of skills to the Gussied team, Liz is like a hybrid of Peggy and Joan from Mad Men. Extremely driven and detail oriented, she has held a number of key positions at The Windish Agency, a Chicago based booking agency. Working alongside tour and radio promotions expert Robbie Lloyd (Queens of the Stone Age, Foo Fighters, Beck), she recently helped launch the agency’s new Tour Marketing Department. She currently serves as the Tour Marketing Manager, overseeing promotional strategies for tours of various artists like The xx, Twin Shadow, Matt & Kim, and Icona Pop.  Prior to the launch of the Tour Marketing Department, Liz worked as an agent alongside founder Tom Windish, booking acts such as Foster The People, Lykke Li, M83, and Justice.  She is going into her sixth year at the agency, which was awarded Pollstar’s Boutique Booking Agency of the Year, in 2012 and 2013.  Previously, she has held positions at Chicago’s Ravinia Festival, The Lincoln Center Festival and Blue Note Records. Liz's most recent undertaking, aside from Gussied, is teaching in the Arts Entertainment and Media Management Department at Columbia College Chicago.

Kevin Smith (vocals, guitar) is a guitarist, composer, songwriter, teacher and all around musical handyman from the great state of Illinois. When he isn't playing with Gussied, Kevin can be found performing across the midwest as a solo classical guitarist or with the Chicago country outfit Cpt. Captain. Charlie Mammoser (sound engineer) makes sure you have the best sound possible for your event. With a resumé boasting work with some of the biggest names in the music and event industry - Roberta Flack, The Roots, James Taylor, Chris Thile and President Barack Obama, Charlie is an essential part of the Gussied team.  When he's not backstage, Charlie can be found playing his banjo and listening to bluegrass.
